The William F. Butler Award
The William F. Butler award is presented annually to a distinguished business economist in memory of its name sake.
The award was established in 1972 in honor of the then recently deceased Dr. Butler. The award commemorates Dr. Butler’s founding of both the NABE and the NYABE as well as his leadership in the field of business economics. He was noted for his analytical insight, organizing ability, penetrating wit and genial warmth. To date, thirty-four outstanding economists have received the William F. Butler Award.
